Youth Welfare Mission
For the welfare and development of the youth, the Government of India has announced a National Youth Policy whose objective is to create awareness and respect among the youth for the principles and values contained in the Constitution, to generate loyalty towards the Rule of Law with the help of commitment towards national integration, secularism and socialism, to generate awareness towards historical and cultural heritage, to generate interest in the environment and its conservation, to develop a scientific outlook and to provide all the required facilities for personality development.
Many types of schemes and programs have been run for the welfare of the youth. From time to time, such social reformers were born in India, who sacrificed everything for the welfare of the society. In every century, some great man has been born in India, who has given the mantra of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" to the world with his efficient leadership. One of such great men was Swami Vivekananda, who introduced the world to the original identity of India, Sanatan culture. Even today his thoughts inspire the youth!
National Youth Day is celebrated every year on 12 January in India. Global Youth Day was declared by UNO in 1984. Inspired by this, the Government of India decided to celebrate Swami Vivekananda's birthday as National Youth Day. Students can learn good things like discipline, concentration and dedication from the life of Swami Vivekananda.
National Youth Day dedicated to the youth of the country is celebrated every year on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. The Government of India had announced to celebrate it in 1984. In future, the youth of the country will become the future of the country, to make it better, this day was started to encourage the youth through the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. Its main objective is to inspire the youth and build a better future.
Youth power is the identity of the country, so National Youth Day reminds us how the youth power can be inspired towards a positive direction. This is a great day on which the enthusiasm of all the youth is boosted so that they can contribute for the welfare of the society.
For Swami Vivekananda, education means respecting the spirit of all religions which gives a positive direction to the personality of the youth. He believed that it is the responsibility of the youth to become responsible towards themselves, their family, society and the nation. He asked the youth to educate themselves and emphasized the importance of service in their lives.
Our youth is energetic and creative. They can play an important role in building the future of this country, they can move towards prosperity with new ideas, imagination, and enthusiasm. Only youth power can build a strong nation.
Today's youth is full of energy and enthusiasm, and we should direct this energy in the right direction. They can come up with new and innovative ideas and find solutions to problems.
We all should be committed that we will take the young generation on the right path and make them capable, positive, and dedicated citizens. We should listen to them, understand their needs and guide them to follow the right path.
This day makes them dutiful for their duties and responsibilities towards the country. The youth of the country who are the future hopes of the country take a pledge to devote their lives for the country on the day of National Youth Day. The reins of the country are going to come in the hands of these youth.
